Extended Care
The Extended Care program at ESM for Grades K-8 is offered to assist parents by providing supervised care of school-aged children before and after the regular school hours. Extended Care is offered at both the Union Street and Getz Road Campuses in the morning and only at the Union Street Campus in the afternoon.
Time Schedule
Before-school care will begin at 6:30 am at both campuses and will continue until the school day begins. It is the parent’s responsibility to see that their child is not dropped off at the Extended Care site prior to 6:30 am.
After-school care will begin when the children are released from their classrooms. Getz Road students will be checked in to Extended Care after dismissal at 3:20 pm and bused to the Union Street Campus. Union Street students will check in at 3:35 pm. Children must be picked up by 6:00 pm at the Union Street Campus. Extended Care is open only if school is in session.
Students arriving before 8:00 am at Union and before 8:20 am at Getz will be sent to Extended Care. Students not picked up by 3:20 pm at Getz and 3:35 pm at Union will be checked into Extended Care. All regular fees apply.
Snacks
An afternoon snack will be offered to all children in Extended Care at approximately 4:00-4:15 pm. If your child has any food allergies or health concerns, please make the Extended Care staff aware of them.
Devices
No devices are to be in a child’s possession or used during Extended Care. Students may use the school phone in Extended Care if necessary.
