Pauline Benner serves in a variety of roles at ESM. She teaches elementary general music for grades K-3, as well as directing 7-8 grade Praise Band and Handbells, and accompanying the middle school choirs at Union campus. Additionally, she teaches private music lessons at St. Michael Academy of the Arts after school. Pauline earned her Bachelor of Music in performance from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in 1999. Since then, she has been working in the Fort Wayne and Warsaw areas as a freelance musician, worship leader, and private instructor. She currently performs professionally on woodwinds and keyboard with Wagon Wheel Theatre, Symphony of the Lakes, Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Three Rivers Music Theatre, and Purdue Fort Wayne Theatre. Pauline is a Fort Wayne native, and a graduate of CLHS. She and her husband, Brad, became members of St. Michael’s in 2020 after they were impressed by the warm, encouraging atmosphere and commitment to excellence that they witnessed at ESM. Their children, Jack and Anya both attend ESM.
